Physical Tools
TETRA: Tetrahedron model for visual synthesis of any four general principles - seeing the
interaction of four principles simultaneously is an aid in transforming complexity into creative
action..
THREE-D: A three dimensional thinking model with three axes used to establish relationships
between concepts or ideas. It takes at least three related principles to build and balance any
inquiry, for example, the executive, legislative and judiciary branches in American government
or temperature, pressure and volume in the comparative study of gases.
CUBE: Thirteen dimensional cube with three sets of faces, six sets of edges and four sets of
corners to make a model of related ideas in any subject. Combining all possible combinations of
meaning on the faces, edges and corners of a cube provides all-inclusive holistic meaning.
GROWTH DYNAMIC SEQUENCE: Four column charting based on the four stages of growth
and evolution - Gather, Repeat, Share, and Transform (GRST). The chart is used to understand
and articulate any subject's development over time and to perceive its ideal future.
METAMATRIX: Sixteen square map used for analyzing the past and present of an enterprise
and to predict its future creative dynamics. Two of the favorite Metamatrix maps for study and
comparison are the human individual life stages map and the human species stages of evolution.
BREAKTHROUGH MAP: A display designed to evoke breakthrough thinking and planning by
demonstrating how an enterprise can leave one domain of endeavor and create a new one
SPIRAL ICON: A map of multiple growth stories arranged in a sunflower or pine cone spiral
pattern to create synergy between stories and stages of growth and to generate new possibilities
for invention, behavior and value.
TWELVE WHYS: A personal or group statement of purpose or intent questioned twelve times
with the query: "Why is that important?" Digging deeply into values and intentions at the level of
soul strengthens identity and purpose.
DO WELL: A personal or group assessment of the action words common to different stories
of things done well, made proud and enjoyed. Excellence, pride and joy are three aspects of
human success made more useful when they become conscious and create the basis for future
development.
CIRCLE TALK: Use of a talking stick passed from one speaker to another so that only its
bearer may speak. This practice moves a group toward deeper truth and listening.
ANDROGOGY: A group organizing and learning practice built on the principles and processes
of adult learning - as distinctly different from contemporary pedagogy. Androgogy centers on
co-equality wherein the distinction between teacher and learner softens and often disappears.
HUMAN DYNAMICS: A body of work developed by Sandra Segal, Ph.D., which provides a
self-assessment process for analyzing the dominance and interplay of physical, mental and
emotional characteristics in individual human behavior. The purpose of the work is to enhance
personal growth and group harmony through a greater understanding of the communication
needs and goal achievement processes of self and others.
COMMUNICATION MAP: An application of the Metamatrix sixteen square map which enables
the user to view the potential increase in the market of a particular product or service. The map
arrays the progressive expansion of communication from individuals to groups and fields of
commonly interested people, eventually reaching the entire world population.
WHY?: A sequence of twelve "Why is that important?" queries designed to evoke spiritual
intentions.
MAP OF HUMAN EVOLUTION: The history of the past, present and future of humanity
arrayed in a Metamatrix sixteen square map with seven stages completed and nine as yet
unfulfilled.
SPIRIT PULL: A process of creative invention guided by the pull toward spirit.
SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES: Social design principles used to inspire and focus the highest
creative intentions. These principles progress in a GRST format from local-practical to
civil-procedural to universal-relational to eternal-ideal.
COVENANT: A collaborative co-creative process of forming spiritually inspired community
dedicated to common values and principles.
NATUREHUNT: An experiential quest for signs of sanctity in nature.
Domain Mapping: Designing the Future of an Enterprise
What if you and your staff could see through the curtain separating your enterprise today from a
predictable and highly profitable future? What if that future included the greatest good for your
community, your domain, and all life on the planet? Discover the powerful dynamics in nature
which will improve your vision to better than 20/20 and guide you step by step to the successful
future that you envision. Domain mapping will provide a key to unlocking that future for your
enterprise.
Domain mapping is the creation of a future scenario for a domain, such as the healthcare
industry, and for enterprises within that domain. This unique mapping process encourages
innovative thinking using a rigorous analytical methodology which helps you predict the future.
As the leader of an enterprise, you can use domain mapping as a creative thinking process which
integrates current realities with future potential to bring about both a clear vision of success and
a plan for making that success a reality. The deliverables from domain mapping include the
ability to:
- predict the future based on natural growth cycles
- find new businesses and markets using your ability to predict the future
- engender new profitability, viability and sustainability
- anticipate down cycles and transform them into opportunities for new products and
services
- become a new service to humanity in which profits are abundant
Drawing on the vast store of nature’s growth dynamics, domain mapping helps you bring big-
picture thinking to the creation of your future vision. Having the broadest overview with the
greatest ideal intention puts the maximum power for social invention in your hands to make life-
enhancing success a reality.
